Emma joined Lanyon Bowdler in 2021, bringing with her a wealth of experience in a number of roles.
Her experience includes 17 years in post-compulsory education, contracting for DWP/DfE, as well as nearly 10 years in learning and development at a housing association.
As the firm’s learning and development manager she oversees all the compliance training and career development activities for the firm, including managing and recruiting apprentices. Emma also manages the firm’s CPD and ensures that all solicitors (and other qualified staff) have the required up to date knowledge to confidently renew their annual practising certificate.
Emma manages a small team that sits with our HR Department and is responsible for attending careers events with trainees, she also delivers workshops and presentations to schools and colleges within our area. She is liaising with local schools and colleges, sits on the Marches Development Consortium, and is a member of the Institute for Leadership and the Institute for Organisational Learning.
